Mark Dierauer Hopkins West Jr High - Minnetonka, MN Grade: Mark is in his 4th year of chasing gates for the Welch Devo team. Mark is also a Boy Scout and understands the importance of music while playing the saxaphone for Jazz Band, and the piano. |

Mackenzie Sorenson Valley View Middle School - Edina, MN Grade: Mackenzie is in her 5th year of Devo at Welch Village. Mackenzie seems to like the outdoors as her other hobbies are lacrosse, fishing, biking, hiking, and camping |

Harriet Flinsch Bluffview Montessori - Rochester, MN Grade: Harriet has been with the Welch Devo program for three years now. When the snow melts, she enjoys rollerblading and rock climbing. Harriet also likes to read, especially Disney books. Reading, as snowboarders know, is very important. |

Kate Hanson Jefferson School - Rochester, MN Grade: 4th Kate has been skiing for six or seven years with her family. She also enjoys soccer and swimming. Kate receive's encouragement from her coach, Todd Hayne. |

Lane Manke Hastings Middle School - Hastings, MN Grade: 8 As well as being a great ski racer, Lane has been a ballet dancer for six years. She also enjoys soccer and water skiing. Lane get's her inspiration for ski racing from Kelly Pechous and Joel Johnson. |

Ben Peters St Patrick's School - Hudson, WI Grade: 8th Ben is a 6 year member of the Welch Devo program. He loves ski racing, soccer, white-water slalom kayaking, and baseball. Ben can't wait for the whitewater course Welch is installing for the 2020 Welch Olympics. Ben's assets come from some goofy short-haired guy. |

John Featherstone Red Wing High School - Red Wing, MN Grade: The youngest of the Civilians, John is a soft-spoken member of the community. Politely landing the illest Lincoln Loops any 15 year old could hope for. John has a bright future ahead of him. Someday he hopes to be a scientist, an astornaut, or a fireman. In the meantime, John is content getting completely Unleashed in the terrain park at Welch. ---------- John took second place at the Coffee Mill rail jam on Feb. 4th |

Landon Bahl Red Wing High School - Red Wing, MN Grade: Residing peacefully in his Red Wing home, this Civilian is the editior and rider of the freestyle ski movie "5 of a Kind". The movie, shot at Welch Village and other locations across the state, is a testament to the local freeskiing movement. Handrails, concrete walls, and other man-made structures have all been riden by Landon. The only thing off limits is his white picket fence in the cozy burg of Red Wing. --------- Landon took second place at the Coffee Mill Big Air Comp. on Jan. 14, and 3rd place at the Coffee Mill rail jam on Feb. 4th. |

Tony Seyffer Dakota County Technical College - Red Wing, MN Grade: Tony, another Civilian, enjoys walking his dog, playing frisbee with friends, and landing 540's in park sessions. ------- -Tony took 1st place at the Jeep King of the Mountain Terrain Park Challege Regional. As a result, he will be competing at the Finals at Squaw Valley, California. -Tony took 1st place at the Coffee Mill Big Air comp. on Jan. 14 -First place at Afton rail jam |

Alex Seyffer University of Wisconsin - River Falls - Red Wing, MN Grade: Alex is one of four members of the Civilians. The Civilians are a mild mannered group of freestyle skiers from Welch Village specializing in politely destroying the Joneses at area ski competitions. Alex took 1st place at the Gunsmoke Jib Pipe Competition in March of 2005 and 2nd place at the Mankato State Rail Jam in October. ------- -Alex took 4th place at the Coffee Mill Big Air comp. on Jan. 14 -Alex took 1st at the Jeep King of the Mountain Terrain Park Challege at Welch Village on Jan. 29th. -First place at Afton rail jam |
