Starting wage: $15 - $22/hour depending on experience. This position has the potential to be year-round for the right individual.
Part-time & Full Time Positions
Lift Operators (Age 18+)
Our Lift Operators are responsible for the operation of our
chairlifts, rope tows, and surface lifts. No experience necessary. Must be able
to work in adverse weather. All shifts available. Must be 18+.
Starting wage: $16.50 - $18.50/hour depending on weekday/weekend hours
Snowmakers (Age 18+):
Our Snowmakers operate our snowmaking system to make snow across our Mountain. These team members work outside. All shifts available. Must be 18+.
Starting wage: $17.00 - $19.00/hour
Janitorial Service (Age 15+):
Our Janitorial Staff is responsible for keeping our chalet and surrounding areas clean. No experience necessary. All shifts available.
Starting Wage: $15.00 - $16.00/hour
Line Cooks (Age 18+):
Our culinary team is looking for additional Line Cooks. Our Line Cooks prepare and cook food within our restaurants and cafeterias. Fast paced work environment. All shifts available. Must be 18+.
Starting Wage: $15.00 - $21.00/hour depending on experience
Food & Beverage Kitchen Staff (Age 14+):
These team members provide support to our Line Cooks in our Food & Beverage Department. Fast paced work environment. All shifts available. Must be 14+.
Starting Wage: $12.50 - $15.50/hour
Cashiers (Age 15+):
These team members run our point of sale system to check out our customers in our Cafeteria and Restaurant. All shifts available. Must be 15+.
Starting Wage: $12.50 - $14.50/hour
Bartenders (Age 18+):
Our Bartenders work at our East Chalet Bar and our Black Diamond Bar in our Main Chalet. These positions are tipped positions. Experience preferred, but not required. Must be 18+.
Starting Wage: $11.50/hour plus tips
Guest Services (Age 15+):
These staff members are responsible for learning about and selling of lift tickets, season passes, lesson programs, and more. Our Guest Services team issues lift tickets, answers phones and at times assists with other clerical work.
Starting Wage: $12.50 - $14.50/hour
Rental Shop (Age 15+):
These staff members are responsible for proper fitting of ski and snowboard equipment of customers. Will become certified to work with certain manufacturer’s bindings. No experience necessary. All shifts available. Must be 15+.
Starting Wage: $12.50 - $14.50/hour
Terrain Park Crew (Age 16+):
These staff help build and maintain our Terrain Park. Must be 16+ to be Park Crew Staff. Must be 18+ to be Terrain Park Manager.
Starting Wage for Park Crew Staff: $12.50/hour
Weekday (WED-FRI) Ski Instructor (Age 18+)
This seasonal role begins in early January. Instructors will help lead beginner skiing lessons for visiting school groups and assist them with learning the basics of skiing. Morning lessons are scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays in January and February. This role also assists students in the rental shop to begin the lesson.
Starting Wage: $13.50/hr

General policies:
Welch Village is, of course, a seasonal business and thus open seven days a week. Our season is only four months long. Therefore, you MUST be willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, since these are the busiest times. Hours vary between departments. All positions are available for part-time or full-time hours.
What about paperwork?
Employees must complete a W-4 Form, Employment Verification Form (I-9), and sign the Welch Village Ski and Snowboard Area, Inc. drug and alcohol policy. These forms must be complete by your first day of employment.
