Ski Lessons
Welch Village is the only licensed PMTS Direct Parallel® ski school in the country. PMTS Direct Parallel® is unique - it's a complete modern teaching system that does not use the wedge or "snow plow." All movements taught in our system utilize modern ski design and create and maintain balance. The system teaches expert skiing movements to all ability levels using Student Centered Ski Instruction™ which uses a student's needs and motivations to design a learning environment. Note: All of our ski lessons utilize poles in the lesson. Please make sure you arrive to the lesson with poles.
Learn to Ski (ages 4-8)
A 1-hour beginner group lesson for kids ages 4-8 introducing the basic movements of skiing in a fun & friendly experience. The lesson will take place at our magic carpet beginner area only. Students are not taken on the chairlift during the lesson.
**Check-in is required at least one-hour prior to the start of your lesson time at the 'Lesson Window' in the Main Chalet building**
Full Package Option Only: $99
Package includes: One hour lesson, full -day lift ticket, and rental equipment for the day. There is no option to "split up" this price.

Learn to Ski 4-8 is available:

Learn to Ski (ages 8+ and adult)
A beginner group lesson for those ages 8+ and adults who have never skied or have skied less than 4 times. This group lesson will introduce the basic movements of skiing in a fun environment. Each station introduces a movement while our instructors provide coaching and feedback, students are encouraged to progress at their own pace to build confidence.
This lesson takes place at the magic carpet (conveyer lift) beginner areas, some students may ride the beginner chairlift based on their performance and at instructor discretion. This lesson is great for individuals, families, or groups looking to experience downhill skiing.
Online registration is the only option for this lesson program. Space is limited.

Includes: 2 hour lesson AND a full-day lift ticket if the lesson taker is not a season pass holder; DOES NOT include ski rental equipment.
Equipment must be purchased and added to your cart separately during online registration.
**A daily lift ticket or season pass is required in order to participate in all lesson programs**

Saturdays: 9:30am-11:30am & 1:00pm-3:00pm
Sundays: 9:30am-11:30am & 1:00pm-3:00pm

Kids 2 (ages 6-13)
A 2-hour group lesson for ages 6-13 who have skied 4 or more times and/or are looking to move from a wedge (snowplow) to parallel turns. Students must be able ride the chairlift unassisted and ski beginner level terrain (green) slopes with speed control and turns. Students will be given individualized instruction based on their level and ability to develop skills to make parallel turns while building confidence in a fun and friendly experience.
Online registration is the only option for this lesson program. Space is limited.
