Private Snowboard lessons offer 1-on-1 coaching with the highest level of personalized instruction. Your instructor will customize your lesson based on your individual and/or private group's personal motivations & goals. Private Snowboard lessons at Welch Village are available for both new and intermediate snowboarders. We offer two types of private lessons based on ability, experience, and motivations. Space is limited and at least a 48-hour advanced booking is required for all private lessons. This lesson does not include the terrain park.

Private Snowboard Lessons are available on most Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 10:00am - 12:00pm and 1:30-3:30pm as space allows.

Level 1 Private Lesson

A 2-hour private lesson for ages 6+ and adults. For new snowboarders, those who have less than 4 times, or those who have not tried snowboarding in many years. This lesson will begin on the magic carpet beginner areas and progress to our beginner chairlift and learning slope. Students will learn basic movements to control speed and make turns.

- Lift ticket and rental equipment is NOT included with private lessons and must be added at the time of purchase if needed. 

- Add up to 3 people of the similar ability level to your private lesson for $50 each.  If there is a difference in ability levels in a private lesson, the lesson content will be focused towards the lowest ability level in the group. 

Level 2 Private Lesson 

A 2-hour private lesson for ages 6+ and adults. For low intermediate to intermediate snowboarders who know how to ride the chairlift and can already board down green trails, this lesson will start on beginner terrain and progress based on student ability and instructor discretion. Students will learn to refine their movements to control speed and make carved turns on steeper terrain.
