The Post High School Race Training program is an exclusive opportunity for local high school alpine athletes to gain additional training after their high school season by joining our Race Academy advanced training sessions for the remainder of this season.  Typically, Race Academy will train into March as long as weather and snow conditions allow.

Program summary:

- Athletes must be an active member of one of Welch Village's home high school programs. (Hastings Alpine, Northfield Coop Alpine, Rochester Alpine)
- Most of the training in this program will be focus on slalom.  However, there will be giant slalom training opportunities as well for those athletes who are interested.
- As part of our Race Academy program, athletes registered in the Post High School program will have exclusive access to our high speed rope tow lift and Sweeny race training hill.  This facility and lift allows athletes to significantly increase the amount of training laps & repetitions.  Also, because of recent snow making capacity improvements on this hill, we are hoping to extend race training deeper into the spring than most ski areas in this area.

Training Schedule:

Race Academy training takes place on Tuesdays 6-8pm, Wednesdays 5-7pm, and Thursdays 6-8pm.  Occasionally, there will be a bonus morning training on Saturday or Sunday.  Athletes can attend as many training sessions as they would like for the remainder of the season.

Cost: $125* per athlete
Registration for this program is available in-person only in our main office or by calling our office at 651-258-2800.
