Instructors (AASI) licensed snowboard school.
Welch Shredders Camps
Shredders is our newest snowboard program for those aged 8-12. This 2-day camp is open to all levels of snowboarders, from first-timers to experienced boarders. Students will be grouped based on ability and experience. This camp will help students who are looking to get into snowboarding and those experienced boarders looking to improve technique and confidence. Instructors will help students understand their own boarding and pursue goals logistically and realistically. This program does not include the terrain park.
The Shredder Camp will be aimed at addressing student
motivations using a student directed teaching system. Coaches will
provide individual coaching in a low instructor to student ratio in order to
ensure a high level of personal feedback for each student in the
group.
Program Requirements: SHREDDERS CAMP IS OPEN TO ALL LEVELS (NEW AND EXPERIENCED).
New snowboarders will use the magic carpet area, chairlift use is at the discretion of instructors based on student progression. Experienced snowboarders must be able to ride the chairlift without the assistance of an adult and already be able to snowboard on green runs while controlling speed & making turns. This program may be canceled if there is low enrollment.
Program Information:
- Program fee: $200* (ages
8-12) (price does not include season pass, lift tickets, or rental equipment if
needed. A lift ticket or season pass is required in order to participate in all
lesson programs)
- Space is limited.
- Includes coaching on 2 consecutive dates.
